The National Institute of Urban Management (NIUM), Hyderabad has invited applications for the post of Knowledge Managers. The last day to apply is 25 March, 2019.
NIUM Hyderabad was established by the Government of Telangana in the year 2013. It is an autonomous institution which specialises in the domains of urban development, management, governance, finance, poverty and policy.
According to NIUM, the Knowledge Management professionals need to be proficient and work on the areas of Project Management, Infrastructure Funding, Urban Planning, Urban Poverty Alleviation, Urban Transportation and Infrastructure, Municipal Finance, Governance, Public Policy, Law, General Administration, Business Development among others.
As per the eligibility criteria stated by NIUM, applicants should have a Masters or equivalent degree from a reputed institute such as Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), the Centre for Environment Planning and Technology (CEPT), School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Schools of Public Policy among others.
The interested candidates may have specialisation in areas like Urban & Regional Planning, Infrastructure & Transport Planning, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Urban Governance, Environmental Planning, IT and e-Governance.
The candidates should be equipped with research, communication and presentation skills.
NIUM mentions, “Preference would be given to candidates possessing research work experience and/or consulting of at least one year. Familiarity with government functioning is desirable.”

Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the interview rounds.
