Karthikeyan S. Takes on CEO Position at Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd

On February 24th, 2024, Mr Karthikeyan S., an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer from the 2020 batch, previously served as the Project Officer at the Integrated Tribal Development Project in Kinwat, Nanded, formally took over as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd., replacing Dr Sanjay Kolte, also from the I.A.S..

Mr Karthikeyan brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having previously served as the Project Officer at the Integrated Tribal Development Project in Kinwat, Nanded. Moreover, he also holds a professional qualification as a chartered accountant.

Upon taking office, Mr Karthikeyan outlined his vision for advancing Pune Smart City as a leader in urban development and innovation, striving to establish a model for Smart Cities nationwide.

The transition ceremony was attended by key officials, including Ms Ulka Kalaskar, Chief Finance Officer of Pune Smart City and Joint Commissioner of Accounts and Finance Officer at Pune Municipal Corporation, as well as Pune Smart City’s Chief Knowledge Officer, Mr Dinesh Virkar, Company Secretary Mr. Swanand Shede, Deputy Engineer Mr. Borse, Junior Engineers, and other staff members.

After assuming his new role, Karthikeyan reiterated his dedication to propelling Pune as a paradigm of urban development and innovation, aiming to establish a benchmark for smart cities nationwide.
