Deepak Singh, IAS has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation Limited (BSCDL). He took over the post from Sanjay Kumar while assuming the office on Wednesday.
Prior to his appointment as BSCDL CEO, Singh was the Collector of Dhar district and was transferred as the Deputy Secretary of Madhya Pradesh. The 2008-Batch officer is the third CEO of the SPV since its inception in 2015.
According to Singh, his focus would be to accelerate the pace of the projects along with maintaining the quality of work. He would also mitigate the challenges faced by the lack of funds. As per reports, several smart city projects are already in progress including the commercial development of TT Nagar.
