White Cement Plant to be established in Himachal

FCI Aravali Gypsum to set up white cement plant in Himachal

FCI Aravali Gypsum and Minerals India Limited (FAGMIL) will set up a new white cement plant at NohraDhar in Sirmourdistrict, Himachal Pradesh. The 0.3 million tonnes per annum plant will be a fourth for the country.

To be built at a cost of Rs 605 crores, it will generate direct employment two approximately 150 persons.

The new plant will start its operations from 2022.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the same was signed in Shimla by Alka Tiwari, Chairperson & Managing Director, FAGMIL and Manoj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Himachal Pradesh, in the presence of Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur.

FAGMIL is a Government of India Undertaking, under the administrative control of Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India.

The main purpose of this PSU is to do mining and marketing of mineral gypsum in Rajasthan.

FAGMIL is Miniratna-II Company having its registered office at Jodhpur (Rajasthan) has 15 operating gypsum mines in Rajasthan. It started its operations from 01-04-2003 and during the last 15 years, it has increased its net worth by 3248%.
