Rajkot’s Raiya flyover has been inaugurated by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani which is going to ease traffic on 150 feet Ring Road.
In memory of the martyrs of Pulwama terror attack, the bridge has now been renamed the Shahid Bridge.
Built at a cost of Rs 35 crores, the bridge will be used by more than 60,000 vehicles daily.
The bridge will allow the seamless transition between Madhapar crossroad to Nana Mauva. It will also ease the traffic between Raiya Road and Hanuman Gadhi.
The bridge was delayed by 10 months before it was finally inaugurated.
More than 37 overbridges and underbridge are under construction at various railway crossings.
