Larsen & Toubro bags orders from Rajkot Smart City, Delhi Jal Board and Mumbai Metro

Construction major Larsen & Toubro has bagged Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) order from Rajkot Smart City.

The order is for design, construction, testing, commissioning and O&M of infrastructure works for roads, drains, culverts, bridges, water supply, sewerage, street lighting and utility duct in the smart city area in Rajkot, Gujarat.

Apart from the order from Rajkot Smart City, Larsen & Toubro has received another EPC order from the Delhi Jal Board for the design, construction, installation, automation, testing, commissioning and O&M of a 477 MLD water treatment plant (WTP), a 105 mililitres clear water reservoir and a pump house for the Chandrawal command area.

As per reports, the project is a part of the Delhi Water Supply Improvement project (DWSIP) and is funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRCL) has also given an order to the construction major which involves design, procurement and supply, installation, testing and commissioning of ballastless track on the mainline for the Line 3 project.

Along with these orders, L&T has secured orders from various business segments such as building and factories and power transmission and distribution.
