Karnal Smart City Limited, a special purpose vehicle which is looking after the Smart City project, is going to start the smart education project in nine government schools in the city.

Under the project, parents can monitor the performance of their wards on a common online platform. This step is being taken by the KSCL to increase the learning capacity of students and also to make learning interactive and student-friendly under the Smart City project.

The technical and financial bids of the project have floated by the SPV. The authorities are claiming the project would begin in a few days.

Rajiv Mehta, Commissioner KMC-cum-CEO KSCL says we have identified nine government schools of the city under the area-based development plan. According to him, the sum of Rs 3.6 crore would incur on this project under which they would develop 53 smart classrooms and eight robotic and stem labs in these schools so that the students could learn their subjects with the help of latest technology.

He also added that we will also make a database of all the students which will be based on their day-to-day performance and activities. The parents can easily monitor the performances of their wards with the help of a dashboard system.

The attendance of students, their participation in different activities along with their results in various competitions would also be available on this dashboard.
Renu Bala Gupta, Mayor, Municipal Corporation of Karnal Haryana, said that besides raising their confidence, the project would help in enhancing their learning skills.
KSCL claims that under this project, the students would be taught with the help of audio-visual content, making learning easy.
