Haryana to focus on aerospace & aviation as thrust sectors in new industrial policy

Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana, Dushyant Chautala held a meetingwith senior officers of various departments on the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Policy 2020, on September 6. Following the meeting, Chautala said that Haryana will be the first state in India to focus on aerospace and aviation as thrust-sector in its new industrial policy.

Post-meeting, the deputy CM interacted with meida persons andinformd them that the state government is finalising thedraft of the new industrial policy to promote and support industries inthe state. Chautala, further said that the new industrial policy is being constituted so that it is beneficial for industrialists, investments in the state can e increased, youth can get more job opportunities, etc.

As per the deputy CM, a series of meetings is underway to finalise the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Policy 2020.

Chautala said that in order to provide a favourable environment for the industries in the state, a new industrial policy is being formulated by the state government for the year 2020 to 2025, which will be implemented by the next month. He said that the government has requested MLAs, MPs and all industrial associations of the state as well as national level industrial associations like FICCI, ASSOCHAM to give their suggestions by September 8.

He mentioned that it is the priority of the Haryana government to establish maximum units to import-export, especially in the thrust-sector in Haryana and the government is fully focussing on this while formulating the new industrial policy.

Further, speaking on the bulk drugs-park associated with medical technology, the deputy CM said that Haryana would be one of the leading states which will promote industrial units by dividing all its 22 districts into several clusters.

During the meeting, Additional Principal Secretary to the CM, V Umashankar, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, AK Singh, Director, Industries & Commerce, Saket Kumar and other senior officers were also present.
