Aurangabad Smart City Limited to install CCTV cameras at around 700 locations

CCTV cameras

The Aurangabad Smart City Limited (ASCL) is all set to install CCTV camera network across the city. Aurangabad Police has also completed the primary survey for the smart city project.

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has also suggested locations where the CCTV cameras need to be installed.

According to ASCL, the project aims to improve the surveillance network and centralised monitoring system across the city in order to maintain law and order and provision of civic utilities.

The city police and AMC will be able to access the footages through the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) located at Padampura fire brigade building.

MR Thatte, Chief Financial Officer of ASCL mentioned that 700 locations have been indentified for installing the CCTV cameras. AMC will also share the list of locations it has shortlisted and both the lists will be tallied and a final list will be created.

Further to this project, ASCL has also decided to install 50 digital display kiosks at major city squares which would display information or updates that the Municipal Corporation would like to share with the citizens.
