Chhattisgarh Postal Department has launched a new mobile app called Postman and Rural Information Communication and Technology (RICT) for speedy implementation of digital postal services in the state. Initially, this app will be used by 42 post offices across the state. Four districts which will use this app extensively are Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur and Raigarh.
The postal e-services involves computerisation and digitisation thereby connecting all the post offices including those in rural areas of Chhattisgarh.
By the end of the year, most of the post offices will be connected with the e-services.
It will provide support in various critical functions of communication, financial services, life insurance products and other retail services, which will now be only a click away.
