To enhance public spaces and improve the quality of urban life, Prayagraj Smart City Limited (PSCL) has initiated the redevelopment of Bharadwaj Park, one of the city’s prominent green spaces. The move aims to provide citizens with a cleaner, better-managed, and more accessible recreational area with improved amenities.
Spread across nearly five acres, Bharadwaj Park has been a popular destination among residents for leisure activities and community gatherings. With the Smart City intervention, the park will now witness infrastructure improvements focused on creating a more organised and visitor-friendly environment.
Earlier managed by the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation, the park has been brought under the supervision of Prayagraj Smart City Limited to ensure systematic development and long-term maintenance. The initiative is aligned with the broader objective of the Smart Cities Mission, which focuses on creating sustainable, inclusive, and citizen-centric urban spaces.
As part of the redevelopment plan, PSCL is working towards upgrading existing facilities and introducing new amenities to improve the overall experience for visitors. The proposed improvements include better visitor infrastructure, enhanced landscaping, and facilities such as a cafeteria to make the park a more engaging public destination.
