Patna Smart City Limited announces projects benefitting students

The Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL) has launched several projects for the benefit of students in the city. Some of the projects include construction of a Ganga Research Centre at Collectorate Ghat, a new library near NIT Mor, refurbishing of a defunct gym at Patna College and a Dutch cafeteria at Patna College Ghat.

According to a media report Patna University (PU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Rash Bihari Prasad Singh to provide free internet facility at the cafeteria and the library.

PSCL was quoted as saying, “Our aim is to change the image of the university, which has produced great scholars, and provide various amenities to the students.”

The Ganga Research Centre will have manuscripts and books on Ganga. The budget allocated for the project is Rs 1 Crore.

A media report also states that PSCL will renovate the 85-year-old gym at Patna College using funds amounting Rs 1.5 crore. The old equipments will be put on display and replaced with new ones. The gym is likely to become functional in eight months after which it can be used by students as well as common people.
