Nagpur to host Elets Smart and Sustainable City Summit

The Government of Maharashtra in association with Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd is organising a summit on Smart and Sustainable cities in Nagpur on 7th and 8th April.

While Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be the chief guest of the summit, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be the Guest of Honour.

Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar will also be present on the occasion. Apart from Maharashtra government officials, other state officials, international transport agencies, representatives from the Sweden Embassy will also participate in the two-day conference.

Top private enterprises working in the field of smart cities in India, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders will participate in discussions on various issues related to different aspects of smart cities.

The summit will host several panel discussions on central government’s ambitious programmes like Swachch Bharat, Adhaar-linked Transactions, Intelligent transport Management System (ITMS), Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Everything (IoET) as the facilitator for overall smart infrastructure in the cities.

Role of PSUs for smart cities, role of banks and financial institutions will also be discussed in the summit.


Through this summit, the Government of Maharashtra also seeks to invite investors for the development of smart cities in the state.  The summit will  give investors huge opportunities for business, and create an ecosystem for which the government has developed a transparent system.
