HSIIDC to come up with Pharma Parks at Industrial Estate, Panipat

As many as 90 companies and experts attended an interaction which was held under the Chairmanship of A K Singh, Principal Secretary Industries and in the presence of Mr Anurag Agarwal, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), regarding setting up of Bulk Drugs Park over an area of about 650 acres in Industrial Estate Panipat, Haryana.

While stating this today, a spokesman of HSIIDC said that the need to strengthen the bulk drug supply chain in the post-COVID-19 scenario has created the need for the development of bulk drug manufacturing in the Country. Bulk Drugs Park, covering an area of about 650 acres in Industrial Estate Panipat, is also under the consideration of Haryana Government. In order to assess the demand and to understand the requirement for the successful creation of such a park, the process of stakeholder consultation has been initiated. The first of such consultation was held today with top pharma companies and experts.

During the meeting, the broader details of the initiative of the State regarding the Park was shared including the incentive structure and regulatory support. The participants gave valuable inputs for the successful development of Pharma Parks besides offering their support and guidance to HSIIDC.

Main participants from the stakeholders included Pranav Gupta, Founder & Trustee, Ashoka University; Dinesh Dua, CEO, Nectar Lifesciences & Chairman Pharmexcil; BR Sikri Chairman Bulk Drugs Manufacturing Association of India; RL Sharma of Karnal to name a few.
