Elets National Transport Summit to ponder over Smart Transportation

Elets National Transport SummitSmart transportation is an important component of Smart Cities Mission. Urban Mobility is making life of the citizens easy day-by-day.

Ahmedabad is all set to host National Transport Summit on Friday, bringing experts from government and private companies together to discuss and deliberate upon the finest practices of the Smart Transportation sector, especially Gujarat.

Organised by the Government of Gujarat in association with Elets Technomedia Private Limited, a technology and media research company, the Summit is scheduled to be participated by Vipul Mitra, Principal Secretary, Ports and Transport Department, Government of Gujarat. He is the programme host. R M Jadhav, Transport Commissioner, Government of Gujarat, is the programme chair of this summit.

In additon to them, Sanjay Jaju, Director, Finance, National Highways and Infrastructure Development  Corporation Limited; I P Gautam, Managing Director, MEGA Company Limited are also participating in the summit, being held at the Crowne Plaza in Ahmedabad.

To share the concept of Smart Transport in Odisha, Madhu Sudan Padhi, Transport Commissioner, Government of Odisha, has agreed to be the part of the this Transport Summit.

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has set a fine example in front of the whole nation by completing the first phase of the metro in record time. Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, LMRC is going to be a part of this Transport Summit to share an insight into the Metro system of Uttar Pradesh.

Vinit Goenka, Advisor and Member, IT Task Force, Ministry of Road and Transport and Highways, Government of India is also going to participate in the Summit.

The Transport Summit will also have an international perspective from Amlan Bora, Chief Representative of Netherlands-Business Support, Embassy of Netherlands.

Sharing the transport industry perspective will be Suresh Shah, eSmart Energy Solutions Private Limited, Dilipsinh Jadeja, Vice President, IL&FS Rail Limited.

There will be detailed discussions on Challenges and Opportunities of Public Transport System in India, Policy Framework for Modern Transport System, Effective Transportation for Smart Mobility, Sustainable Urban Transportation, Green and Clean Transport Sysrtem and Highways, ICT for Transport and World Class Highways Infrastructure.
