
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will provide connectivity between Noida and Ghaziabad by the end of next year.
DMRC will open 6.8 km stretch between Noida City Centre and Electronic City -an extension of the Blue Line -in December 2018.
This will enhance the metro connectivity to Noida sectors such as 34, 52, 59, 61 and 62, where new stations would come up. The corridor would also cover NH-24, where the last station – Noida Electronic City – is located.
This will directly benefit residents of Indirapuram, NH 24, Kavi Nagar, Shastri Nagar etc.
The overhead transmission lines between Noida Sector 62 and Electronic City, will be shifted soon.
Meanwhile the first train of the Noida-Greater Noida Aqua line Metro was dispatched from Nanjing in China. The train will reach the Greater Noida depot by the second week of December and will roll out by April 2018.
In total, 19 train of four coaches each will be manufactured and shipped by CRRC Nanjing Corporation Limited, a Chinese state-owned rolling stock manufacturer, which is supplying trains to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the corridor.
