Delhi-Alwar Rapid Rail project to commence soon

The Delhi-Alwar Regional Rapid Transit System has been approved by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation. It will be a 106 km long corridor.

Delhi-Alwar Rapid RailThe Detailed Project Report of Gurugram-SNB section of the corridor has also been given go ahead.

This corridor is one of the three RRTS corridors which has been constructed on priority basis.

In stage I, the Gurugram-Rewari-SNB Urban Complex will be taken up. In stage II, it will be extended from SNB Urban Complex to Sotanala and in stage III, SNB Urban COmplex to Alwar will be developed.

NCRTC is also in charge of taking approvals from the Delhi as well as Haryana Government.

About 71 kms of the corridor, including 11 stations will be elevated while remaining 35 kms and 5 stations will be underground.

The RRTS trains with an average speed of 160 kmph will be available at a frequency of 5-10 mins.

The corridor will provide connectivity to Delhi, Gurugram, Rewari, Manesar, Dharuhera, Bawal and nearby areas.

It will also provide connectivity to Delhi International Airport.
