Aurangabad gets Rs 152 cr state funding for road development

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has sanctioned Rs 152.24 crore for the development of 22 km of roads in Aurangabad, a media report said on Thursday.

AurangabadThe project will be jointly implemented by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, and Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation.

According to Aurangabad Municipal Commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey, the project will include the construction of drains, footpaths and other public amenities along with roads.

The fund for the project was sanctioned in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Thackeray. State Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde, Industries Minister Subhash Desai and senior officials of the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation were in attendance.
