5G Ambulances

In a significant development, the Mizoram Smart Cities Mission has delivered two cutting-edge 5G-enabled Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances to Zoram Medical College and Civil Hospital Aizawl. This initiative is part of a broader effort under the Smart Cities Mission to provide a total of eight ambulances to various hospitals within Aizawl, including private healthcare facilities.

These state-of-the-art 5G ALS Ambulances, made available through the Aizawl Smart City Limited, mark a pioneering milestone in the state of Mizoram. Each ambulance is equipped with essential medical equipment, such as a defibrillator, cardiac monitor, transport ventilator, syringe infusion pump, and video and audio conference devices. These advanced tools enable doctors to provide real-time assistance to paramedics while patients are being transported under critical conditions. Additionally, the ambulances are equipped with portable oxygen, spinal boards, and scoop stretchers, ensuring comprehensive care during transit.

The primary objective of this initiative is to ensure prompt and critical care for patients in life-threatening situations. These advanced ambulances will play a pivotal role in delivering essential medical treatment to patients while en route to the hospital during emergencies.

This marks a significant step forward in enhancing healthcare services in Mizoram and underscores the commitment of the Smart Cities Mission to harness cutting-edge technology for the betterment of healthcare infrastructure.
