New GMDA chief takes stock of Gurugram projects

New Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) chief Vivek Joshi, who took charge on Tuesday, has taken stock of the various ongoing projects being executed by the authority.

Joshi, who has earlier served as the administrator of Haryana Institute of Public Administration, is also the designated CEO for Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Authority under which dvelopment of five cities has been proposed.

In a meeting with senior GMDA officials on Tuesday, Joshi was briefed about the ongoing projects in Gurugram. Some major projects that ar nearing completion in th city include the DPR on the metro project between Huda City Centre and Old Gurugram, a mobility plan for the city and the public consultations for the liveability index which is now in the last phase.

According to the outgoing GMDA chief V Umashankar, the tender for remodelling Huda City Centre metro station will be floated in a few days.
