Huawei collaborates with Turkcell to develop Turkish Smart Cities

Chinese tech giant Huawei and Turkey’s leading GSM operator Turkcell had inked a deal to develop Smart Cities in Turkey.

Turkcell will utilise Huawei’s 5G technologies for its various Smart Cities projects.

The company is hoping to replicate the same agreement for Smart Cities in Central Asia as well.

Both the companies has earlier signed a deal with Turkey’s Samsun province to develop Smart Cities there.

This will enable people living in Samsun to witness digital transformations of  city’s infrastructure and projects.

Both the companies will work in the areas of smart transportation, smart agriculture, smart metering and smart parking.

Turkcell will provide cloud computing solutions through data centres with fixed broadband (FBB), mobile broadband (MBB) and NB-IoT connectivity services for the projects in Samsun. Huawei will provide  IP aqnd IT products and will also make the projects digitally smart.
