Patna forms PSCL to implement Smart City Mission projects

In a move to implement various projects as part of the Patna Smart City Mission, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) company, Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL), has been formed to be headed by city’s Divisional Commissioner Anand Kishor as Chairman.

Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Abhishek Singh has been appointed as the Managing Director while the Finance department’s Deputy Secretary Vinod Kumar Tiwari and Urban Development and Housing department’s Deputy Secretary KD Prajwal are its Directors.

Under the mission, 837 acres of land have been allocated at the estimated cost of Rs 2,776.16 crore —of which Rs 2,542.54 crore is for Area-Based Development (ABD) and Rs 243.62 crore for Pan City.

Initiatives such as “Operation Aadhaar”, “Operation Visankulan”, “Operation Gatisheel”, “Operation Janchetra”, “Operation Samagra Vikas”, “Operation Vaishvik” and “Operation Smart Solutions” have been envisages as part of the smart city mission for the development of sectors like transport, health, etc., of Patna.
