Yes Bank has collaborated with Udaipur, Nashik and Puducherry to offer payment related solutions for smart city initiatives.The bank hopes to build new relationships and get revenue as well with these new associations.
Yes Bank will provide payment solutions for transport services, civic services and utilities etc in these cities.
The bank has already started providing such solutions for Udaipur. It will start RuPay card payment for government services soon there. Solutions for Puducherry will start from April and for Nashik, it will start in May.
The larger idea is to get all the payments including commuting, grocery, shopping, entertainment, school and college fees, medicines, insurance, travel bookings, utility and bills into the mould of e payments.
In Nashik, efforts will be concentrated on government payments, while in Puducherry, the bank will be launching a prepaid card for tourists which can be used for payments for a slew of services.
