Uttar Pradesh government is under way to formulate policy to develop waste-to-power plant for efficient management of solid waste in the state.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has recently told that the state government was working on solid waste management and would soon arrive with a comprehensive policy for establishing power plants generating electricity from solid waste.
He further stated, “The slogan of clean and green is relevant in today’s perspective. We are working in the area of solid waste management and will soon formulate a policy for waste-to-power plant.”
