UP Investors summit attracts investment of more than Rs 4.28 lakh crore on the first day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed Uttar Pradesh as the growth engine of the country and praised Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath for building a new UP.

“Uttar Pradesh is blessed with all the riches, it can become the growth engine of the country,” Modi said inaugurating the two-day ‘UP Investors Summit’.

He also praised the State Government’s developmental schemes.

The two days investors summit witnessed the announcement of more than Rs 4.28 lakh crore from various business tycoons, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced in the event.

Reliance Jio to invest Rs 10,000 crores.

Speaking at the summit, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries pledged an investment of Rs 10,000 crores over the next three years promising the State Government to reach every hook and corner of UP by the end of this year

Adani to invest Rs 35,000 crores

Adani Group’s Chairman Gautam Adani also promised to invest Rs 35,000 crore in UP through his warehousing, logistics, solar energy projects, road and metro rail, and a multi disciplinary university projects.

 

Aditya Birla group to invest Rs 25,000 crore

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, while speaking at the first day of UP Investors Summit 2018 pledged a support of Rs 25,000 crore over the next five years.

Announcing his group as one of the largest investors in UP he added that “UP will continue to remain our group’s highest investment destination.”

The Rs 25,000 crore additional investment will go into finance, cement, and chemicals.

Mahindra Group announces Rs 25,000 crore

Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra and Mahindra Group announced an investment of Rs 25,000 crore in the State. He also expressed his willingness to to set up an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh.

Also, Club Mahindra will create a Rs 200 crore resort in Varanasi.

Essel Group announces an investment of Rs 18,750 crore

Rajya Sabha member and Chairman of Essel Group Subhash Chandra pledged an investment of Rs 18,750 crore at the summit.

TCS to remain in Lucknow

Tata group – though Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekharan announced that there is no plan to shift Tata Consulting Services office from Lucknow.

1,045 MoUs signed

Speaking at the summit,Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath promised that his Government will erase the red tape and clearances will be given as soon as possible.

The State Government has already signed more than 1,045 Memoranda of Understanding with the industry leaders and has also improved its Ease of Doing Business rankings.
