A cybersecurity police station will be set up at Tirupati soon. The Tirupati Urban Police department is also considering the establishment of a forensic lab in the city.
More than 88 cyber crimes were reported last year. The Police department is also making plans for various awareness programmes for the common citizens.
People will be made aware of the online lottery schemes fraud, shopping frauds, net banking and OTP frauds.
The city police has claimed that it has solved more than 38 cyber crimes of last year with a recovery of Rs 57.23 lakhs.
