Smart City Nashik to deliberate on key components of Smart Cities

To facilitate deliberation and collaboration among key stakeholders of Smart Cities, Nashik Municipal Corporation and Nashik Municipal Smart City Development Corporation Ltd in association with Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd, a technology and media research company, are organising the Smart City Summit in Nashik tomorrow.

Minister for Medical Education, Water Resources and Command Area Development, Government of Maharashtra, Girish Dattatray Mahajan will inaugurate the summit at the Gateway Hotel, Ambad, Nashik.

This is the 24th Smart City Summit organised by Elets.

Commissioner of Nashik Municipal Corporation and Director of Nashik Municipal Smart City Development Corporation Limited Abhishek Krishna will present the welcome address at the summit.

The Maharashtra Government has selected Nashik as one of the Smart Cities. The city is swiftly moving towards urban overhaul and industrialisation while preserving its cultural heritage. Nashik Municipal Corporation is prioritising traffic management, parking and smartphone applications & many other ICT initiatives.

There will be discussions on key areas  like Building Smart Cities by Ensuring Effective IT & eGovernance, Digital Transformation, Smart Mobility and Infrastructure, Importance of International Experience & Collaborations for Building Smart Cities, Urban Overhaul: Greenfield Planning, Infrastructure Development and Swachha Bharat Mission.

The series of summits is a celebration of the spirit of Smart Cities Mission initiated by the Narendra Modi government.

A glimpse of the vision will be provided by industry leaders like Joseph Maprayil, General Manager of eSmart Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd; Girish Sharma, General Manager of Product and Services, Netmagic Solutions, etc.

 

The objective of the conference is to bring experts from government and private companies together and create a platform to deliberate on the best practices in Smart Cities across the country.
