
Pune Metro rail will reduce carbon emissions to large extent, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister inaugurated a 12 km stretch of a total 32.2 km Pune Metro Rail Project on March 6.
The project, which is being built at a total cost of more than Rs 11,400 crore, aims to provide world-class infrastructure for urban mobility in Pune.
The trains will be operational in 2 routes – Vanaz to Garware College Metro Station, and PCMC to Phugewadi Metro Station.
Only fully vaccinated passengers are allowed to use the metro service.
