Metro to extend till proposed Jewar airport

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will now prepare a Techno-Economical Feasibility Report (TEFR) for Greater Noida-proposed  Jewar airport route.

Taking the lead in the project, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority(YEIDA), the new metro route will link Sector 20 in YEIDA to Jewar.

There are plans to put in place an Urban Mobility plan  with a focus on multi-modal transport system. A Request for Proposal will soon be put in place.

Metro connectivity is also going to increase in the trans-Hindon area, especially Indirapuram, with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation sending a detailed project report to the Ghaziabad Development Authority to extend the Blue Line from Noida to Ghaziabad.

The Rs 3,711 crore project, will have two elevated corridors.

There is a plan to build a metro station at Sector 5 of Vasudhara and another will be built in Sahibabad, where inter change of  Vaishali-Modi Nagar metro will take place.
