Johnson Lifts gets Rs 52 crore for Pune Metro Project

Elevator and escalator manufacturer Johnson Lifts has announced that it has bagged Rs 52 crore order to put 119 lifts on 29 stations in the upcoming Pune Metro project.

Chennai-based Lift manufacturer is planning to finish the work by the end of 2021.

 “We have already started sourcing components and will be able to finish the installation within six months once the site is handed over,” Albert Dhiraviyam, Country Head (Marketing), Johnson Lifts and Escalators said.

In the last two months, the company has bagged Rs 673 crore worth orders for metro and railway projects in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.

Excepting good business ahead, the company said that it has made an investment of Rs 138 crore in capacity expansion for making and assembling additional elevators and heavy-duty escalators in 2019.
