Japan’s Yokohama offers to make Kakinada smart city: Andhra Pradesh Govt

NaiduJapan’s second largest city Yokohama has come forward to collaborate with Andhra Pradesh Government to develop Kakinada district into a smart city.

A delegation led by Yokohama Port President Masayuki Takashima met the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad and gave a presentation on Yokohama City development.

Yokohama City Council officials will visit Kakinada soon and identify areas of collaboration with the AP government, the state government officials announced.

An MoU can be signed between the Government and Yokohama City after a meeting with Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) minister later this month-end,” Naidu said.
