Executive officer Ng Uttam Singh of Imphal Municipal Corporation has welcomed the inclusion of Imphal among the 23 Fast Track Cities. He thinks that this will give the state an opportunity to upgrade their previous Smart City Proposal which is directed by the Union Ministry of Urban Development to be submitted before April 16.
The executive officer said that the Smart City Plan will be prepared considering the inputs of the citizens and stakeholders after being evaluated by the panel of experts.
“On the basis of quality of the improved SCP, Imphal city would be included among the cities to be developed into Smart City in the next phase”, he said.
Uttam also requested the people and stakeholders of Imphal to support, cooperate, suggest and share opinions and suggestions to the Imphal Municipal Corporation in order to help them prepare improved SCP.
