Housing complex of 600-housing units for urban poor in BhubaneshwarUnder the State’s Housing for All scheme, the urban development authority in Bhubaneshwar has planned to develop another housing complex for urban poor at Nakara. The project is a public-private partnership enterprise wherein government will allot land to private constructors who will manufacture houses at their own cost.

The private authority with an important experience would be finalised by the Government. It will comprise of the professionals who have been the part of other government projects as to development. The private authority would be provided assistance by Government at requisite parameters.

With an aim to construct 600-housing units, preferably at a four-storey structure on an identified patch of six acres, the developers will use 65 per cent of land to construct houses while 35 per cent will be used to recover project cost. The proposal for the tender has been forwarded. Once the tender is finalised the project will take 24 months to complete.

Similar projects for which tender has been finalised by Bhubaneswar Development Authority are at Bapuji Nagar, Gadakana, Satya Nagar, Chandrasekharpur, and Subuddhipur.
