Free Wi-Fi at two metro stations in Noida

Wave City Centre and Wave Sec 18 Metro Stations of Noida are soon to provide free high speed Wi-Fi services to the passengers.Wave Infratech in association with Ozone Networks, a Wi-Fi service provider, has signed a memorandum of understanding  with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to offer free Wi-Fi services to their passengers at the both the stations.

The two metro stations Noida City Centre and Noida Sector 18 have now been renamed as Wave City Centre Noida and Wave Sector 18, after Wave Infratech won bids for semi renaming rights of both the stations.

On selecting metro Wi-Fi network, the user will have to enter his/her mobile number. Login credentials will be received via sms and for the first 10 minutes, the access of internet will be free of cost after which the commuters can purchase Wi-Fi coupons of Rs 30-150 from the customer care centers at the metro stations.

Sachin Sharma, head projects, Wave Infratech said that the service is launched to benefit commuters as most of the communications is done on internet. It will also add to the infrastructural benefits of the city. It was a long standing demand of the commuters, he added.

Like Rajiv Chowk and Kashmere Gate metro stations, where free Wi-Fi services have already been launched, high speed internet to check emails, audio and video, shopping websites and accessing social media will now be accessible to the metro users.
