
Good news for all Delhiwale, as the prototype of Delhi Transport Corporation’s (DTC) first electric bus has reached Delhi. Kailash Gahlot, Delhi Transport Minister took to Twitter to share the news. He wrote, “Congrats Delhi! After a long wait, the prototype of DTC’s first 100 per cent Electric bus has reached Delhi!.” The Minister also shared pictures of the new bus in his post.
Gahlot, through his tweet, also informed that the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal will soon flag off the new e-bus.

Earlier, in an interaction with IANS, Kailash Gahlot told that the national capital will have its first fleet of 300 buses by January 2022. The Government of Delhi will order 800 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) propelled buses in two batches of 450 and 350. Following that, the government will only procure electric buses for public transport, the Minister added.
