Warangal to get smart toilets across the city

As part of the Smart City Mission, Warangal Urban District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil has announced construction of smart toilets across the city. According to him, the project would be under public private partnership (PPP) mode.

The responsibility has been assigned to the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI). The smart toilets will be constructed on the city roadside on the government land.

As per reports, Patil has instructed officials to give possession of land admeasuring 20X20 feet near NIT guest house, R&B SE office, Bhadrakali temple parking area and Hanamkonda bus station to the municipal authorities.

In a review meeting held on Wednesday, Patil had also stated that the old public toilets would be demolished and replaced with smart toilets. A smart toilet is also underway in the parking lot of the 1,000 pillars temple.

The review meeting was attended by ASCI team leader P Rammohan Reddy, NIT registrar S Govardhan Rao, R&B EE L Rajam, KUDA planning officer E Ajith Reddy, district sports officer Dhanalaxmi and Bhadrakali temple chief priest B Seshu among others.
