The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation will complete the development of a smart city office in a time period of three months in an estimated cost of Rs 2.36 crore.
The office will take up infrastructural work like completing excavation in soil, raft of retaining structure wherever required, conveying of the excavated stuff beyond 1.5 km below foundation, raft of retaining structure, thick plaster for external walls, granite flooring at entrance portion, vitrified matt finish tiles for flooring, and ceramic flooring for toilet block. A private Agency Chaintanya Enterprises would visit the site for the works for preparing the tender documents, city engineer Rajan Patil has said.
Chaitanya enterprises will also prepare a quality assurance plan to ensure that the specified quality of work. The company will have to get the plan approved by the engineer within one month, for the same.
Chaitanya enterprises will also be required to take necessary measures to manage traffic during the construction of the office. It will have to maintain barricades as per drawings and design including signs and markings as may be required by the engineer for information and protection of vehicles on the section of the highway under improvement, a civic official said.
