Mumbai based Mazagon Docks Ltd. has given an order of Rs.4.38 crore to Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (Keltron)for supply of electromagnetic log for new ships under construction for Indian Navy.
According to the release, “This equipment is used for measuring the speed of ships and is manufactured by the special products group of Keltron Equipment Complex (KEC), Karakulum here.”
The company is the only manufacturer of this product and its supplies to defence sector help the country reduce dependence on imports, the release said.
