Hubbali project awarded certificate of merit for Healthcare project by the Union Government

The Hubbali project pertaining to the development of Chitaguppi Hospital in Hubbali was chosen under the Smart City Scheme for the certificate of merit under the “Best Smart Health Project” category at the Smart City Empowering India Awards led by the Union Government.

B.Shekhar, who is the co-ordinator of Smart City Empowering India Awards 2019, said, “The Hubbali Dharwad Smart City Limited (HDSCL)’s project, Smart Healthcare Project has been shortlisted for the recognition.”

The Smart Healthcare Project under which the development of Chitaguppi Hospital has been proposed involves creating facilities such as Virtual Healthcare, Electronic Health Records (EMR), Smart Hospital Management System Software, Smart Diagnostics, Smart Inventory and Drug Management System and others. The total cost of the project is worth Rs 3.05 crore.

Few of the other highlights of the Smart Healthcare Project are recording and capturing patients vital information through telemedicine kit; enabling quick access to patients records anywhere anytime; connecting doctor with patients through video conferencing and offering web based teleconsultation and integrated IOT medical devices, audio-video devices.

Advanced artificial intelligence platform for healthcare with support for a wide range of use cases such as automated disease prediction and classification – breast cancer using mammograms, diabetic retinopathy using images, skin care using histological images, using integrated pharmacy vending machine with QR code prescription validation, liver and kidney functions using urine and blood test parameters, medicine validation module based on artificial intelligence with remote dispensing capability are some of the additional components of the smart healthcare project.

Hubbali Dharwad Smart City Limited (HDSCL) has bagged second award from the Union Government. On the other hand, another project, Green Mobility Corridor, which is aimed at developing the nallah running across the Hubbali city has been chosen for special grants under the Smart City Scheme.
