The corporation has set a target of completing the project within two years. The project will be developed at a cost of Rs 17.56 crore and is one of the most prominent projects to be taken up under the Smart Cities Mission.
The Corporation will undertake road construction, formation of pathway, construction of retaining wall, establishment of parks and provision of road site street lights, among other things.
To prevent the garbage from polluting the river, the Corporation also plans to install bio-fencing in an area of 2,600 meters. Three parks would be developed on the left bank. A total of 430 granite stone benches would be placed at different locations. The entire 2.6 km stretch would have gardening with landscape arrangements.
