
MG Motor India has announced that it has received a significant order for 500 units of its highly popular electric SUV, ZS EV(Electric Vehicle), from BluSmart, a prominent ride-hailing service. This development is likely to give a major push to India’s adoption of electric vehicles mobility and can turn out to be the catalysing factor of India’s smart city transformation.
The ZS EV, renowned for its exceptional performance and a robust 50.3kWh battery, offers an impressive range of 461 kilometers on a single charge. This extended range makes it an ideal choice for ride-hailing services such as BluSmart, enabling more rides to be completed before the need for recharging.
Gaurav Gupta, the Deputy Managing Director of MG Motor India, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, stating that this order of ZS EV SUVs not only showcases BluSmart’s confidence in MG’s commitment to electric mobility but also reflects their shared vision of establishing a strong EV ecosystem in India.
Emphasising the significance of this partnership, Anmol Singh Jaggi, Co-Founder and CEO of BluSmart Mobility, highlighted the expansion of BluSmart’s operations in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru. He stated that their collaboration with MG Motor India comes at a crucial milestone as they rapidly expand their services in these regions. With the addition of 500 MG ZS EVs to their premium fleet, BluSmart aims to serve a larger consumer base and promote the adoption of electric mobility.
