Varanasi has become the first city of Uttar Pradesh to map its community toilets and urinals on Google Maps.
The Municipal Corporation of Varanasi has mapped its all 235 toilets on Google Maps which will help the tourists visiting the city.
To find a toilet near you, type Swachh Toilet and all the nearest toilets and urinals will be visible on Google Maps.
Till now this facility was available only in Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal and Indore.
The Corporation has already constructed 361 toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
17 feedback machines have also been installed in these toilets. The machines come with three buttons– green-Clean, yellow-OK and red-Dirty.
The feedback will directly reach the sanitation survey team in Delhi. The Corporation is aiming to achieve the ODF plus ranking in the next Swachh Sarvekshan.
The city has already been declared as Open Defecation Free.
