Pune SPV to hire 7 consultants to advise on civic issues

pune-smart-cityPune Smart City Development Corporation (PSCDCL), the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) created for the smart city of Pune, has passed a decision to appoint seven consultants, dedicated to civic issues, for the project.

The consultants, named as general consultants, will cover a host of things including issues relating to road, drainage, garbage, health, sanitation, public transport, water and traffic. Some of these can be merged so that a consultant guides a group of topics.

The SPV, which holds the responsibility of executing projects under the Smart Cities Mission, was registered in March. It has seven stakeholders including the mayor, the standing committee chairman, the leader of the House, the leader of opposition, the municipal commissioner and the additional commissioner. The seventh stakeholder will be the divisional commissioner as a state representative.
