PM Modi inaugurates major highway projects worth Rs 15,000 cr in Rajasthan

highwayPrime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone for Rs 15,000-crore National Highway projects in Rajasthan.

“The Prime Minister inaugurated several major highway projects in Rajasthan. The total outlay on these projects is estimated to be over Rs. 15,000 crore,” the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in an official statement.

The projects being inaugurated include 6-Lane Cable Stayed Bridge across river Chambal at Kota; 4 Laning of Gomati Chauraha – Udaipur section of NH-8; and 4-Laning of Rajsamand-Bhilwara section of NH-758.

“Among the important projects for which the foundation stone is being laid, is the Jaipur Ring Road,” the PMO added.

Modi said the infrastructure projects are crucial to the progress of the country. “India can no longer afford delay in infrastructure projects, especially connectivity projects. He said projects such as roads, infuse new energy in the lives of the people,” he added.
