In keeping with the present-day trend, the Lucknow district administration has launched “My Lucknow, My Pride” mobile application, which it claims will go a long way in boosting tourism in the historical city.

“The launch of application is an attempt by the district administration to preserve the past of Lucknow and project the city as a happy and happening place for all times to come,” District Magistrate Rajshekhar said during the launch of the app recently.

He further said that the mobile app is an attempt to “Empower the people of Lucknow with knowledge, instant connectivity, boosting public services and providing a platform for information sharing as well as receiving productive feedback for the overall betterment of the city.”

The benefits of the application include boosting tourism, catering not just to awareness about important government schemes for the public but also offer basic and important details of public and emergency services available. “Besides, the app will help users access information about various municipal services at the touch of a finger and act as platform for grievance redressal of the people of Lucknow,” Rajshekhar said.

Public can become an active part of the development process by giving their valuable ‘suggestions and feedback’ on various initiatives of the Government and the District Administration through the application, he suggested.
