Chandigarh Administration launches website for citizens to view city’s planning & development projects

The Department of Urban Planning, Chandigarh Administration rolled out its dedicated website https://urbanplanning.chd.gov.in with a motive to push the Centre’s efforts under the Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living initiatives. The website was launched by Manoj Parida, Advisor to the Administrator and has been prepared by SPIC.

As per the Chandigarh administration, the website aims to open up a single online source to all the information regarding the development in the city. The website will provide information on the planning and designing of all the projects, which are ongoing, at the planning stage, or already completed. The move will incur transparency and visibility of government schemes for the residents. The citizens can now stay updated of the latest projects, important notified policies and reports of the Chandigarh Master Plan-2031. Moreover, the website will host various information regarding the city’s heritage and infrastructure proposals being carried.

It will be one of a kind to provide consolidated information required in online building plan approval system because all approved architectural controls, updated site verified zoning plans and layout plans have been uploaded under distinct heads for clarity and ease of use. Also, the latest building byelaws applicable to various types of land use will also be made available on the website.
