RSCL also decided to implement ‘Heritage Walk’ project in the City, said Mayor, Raipur, Pramod Dubey.
Under the ‘Heritage Walk’ renovation of Historic Town Hall would be done with an expenditure of Rs 40 Lakhs, he added.
No changes to the outer appearance of the building, only interiors of the hall would be gone under the renovation, he further added.
Organised parking facilities will also be developed in the open space available at ground floor.
The city of Raipur has been selected to be developed into a Smart City under the fast track mode of the first phase of the Smart Cities Mission.
The proposal of Smart City Raipur includes solutions which involve the use of technology, information and data to improve infrastructure and services.
The City is also promoting Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) with dedicated pedestrian corridors and enhanced ‘walkability’ options.
