The government has notified norms for use of Bio-CNG for vehicles running on it.
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has started the initiative of promoting vehicles which are fueled with clean fuels like Bio-Ethanol, Bio-CNG, Bio-Diesel, Electric Batteries, etc.
The Ministry has notified norms for testing and exhaust emission for vehicles running on Bio-CNG and the related norms.
“”With this notification, vehicle manufacturers can manufacture, sell and get the vehicles fuelled by bio-CNG in the country,” according to an official statement.
The specifications on test reference fuel for bio-ethanol vehicles were earlier notified by the Ministry.
