
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has bagged the ‘Best Civic Management of Tourist Destination Award’ by National Tourism Department. The award was given by President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
The event was held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
GHMC has done a lot of work for the overall development of the city.
GHMC commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said the award was achieved with coordination of all the government department heads in the state.
“Convergence meeting which gives us a platform to co-ordinate is one of the reasons,” the commissioner said.
Telangana state has bagged eight awards on the world Tourism day. While Warangal bagged the award for best Heritage City in India.
