India’s longest BRTS now in Surat, CM Vijay Rupani launches projects worth Rs 200 cr

Kumbharia to Kadodora Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) corridorWith the opening of Kumbharia to Kadodora Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) corridor, Surat becomes the first city in India to have longest BRTS network. In totality, the length of the BRTS network in Surat is 108 km. Besides this, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani virtually rolled out development projects worth Rs 200 crore in Surat.

The projects launched by the CM will be undertaken by Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA). These include a healthcare centre, reinforced concrete roads, street lighting, footpaths, garden, beautification of a canal in Athwa zone, and drainage system in Vesu-Bharthana.
